CE Marking for Construction Products: Now a Legal Requirement
As from 1st July 2013 New European Union regulations will mean almost all Construction Products used on the UK sites will need to carry full CE approval.
In simple terms, if a product has a harmonised EN standard (that have taken the place of British Standards) and is listed in one of the many categories included with the Construction Products Regulations it WILL BE ILLEGAL TO SELL IT WITHIN ALL E.U MEMBER STATES WITHOUT IT CARRYING FULL CE APPROVAL.
The whole process has been a labyrinth and there will no doubt be a mass of misinformation in the market over the coming weeks. To try and simplify the issue of CE marking in respect of the ACS products we intend to issue a clear no nonsense leaflet to all our clients.
