The 1300 Butterfly tie was designed for use on domestic houses up to 10 metres in height. It can be used in cavities up to 75mm. The Butterfly tie which conforms to BS 1243 Fig 1 has been all but replaced by the 1100 range tie as the BS 1243 standard has been superseded by DD 140.
